My Trust in You: Lord Shiva

Hi,

This is my very first blog. I hope you like it. Let’s get a bit spiritual today. I’m not promoting Hinduism (Even Though I’m Hindu).
My Favorite God is “Lord Shiva” and Mantra is “Om Namah Shivay”. “The Auspicious One”, “Mahadev”, “Shankar”, “Maheshwor”, and “Devendra (Devo K Dev) are other holy names of Lord Shiva. Everything comes from Shiva because all things are made because of his blessings and goes back to Shiva.

The Great Lord Shiva

Wake up and Start Every Day with God
After taking morning bath, I perform daily pooja at home in my small temple. I believe that if it is impossible to live without breathing, the same as can’t live without Pooja or Mantras. I love to chant “OM NAMAH SHIVAY”.

Chanting OM or Aum Importance:
When I Chant OM or Aum, I feel that I’m able to pray and meditate at the same time. The OM Mantra is most powerful symbol in Hinduism. It connects to all living creatures, nature, the universe and all positive sources.

The birth of all three Gods of Trinity is a great mystery in itself “Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu & Lord Brahma”. Lord Shiva holds the important position in Holy Trinity. Lord Brahma plays the role of a “Creator” and Lord Vishnu plays the role of “The Preserver,” Lord Shiva, is known as “The Destroyer “not only the destroyer of Universe when the judgment day comes but also the destroyer of misery and hurdles in life.

Reasons Why I Worship The Lord Shiva:

Gives The Wisdom: He is my inner guru and I worship him because he is great source of all arts, crafts and knowledge. He himself is a great dancer, singer and musician.

Animal Lover: He is known as Pasupathinath (Lord of Animals). He protects them from disease, destruction’s, pain & cruelty. He has passionate love for all animals.

A Great Family Person: He loves his family as well as his devotees. He treated his wife Parvati with love, care and respect. He made Parvati sit beside with him and give her equal respect. Hence, Today unmarried girls do Monday fasts and desires for a ideal husband that should be like Shiva. We can learn from him about family importance and caring relationships.

First Yoga Teacher: Shiva is our first Yoga Teacher. The idea of yoga originated with Shiva. He is known as Adiyogi, which literally means the first yogi. He meditated for hours to focused, determined and aligned. Being cool, calm will help you to win over your everyday battles.

Ego & Anger Control: His Trishul symbolizes the control of mind, intellect, and ego, which in turn allows you to work better and never lose your mind. Anger & Ego is our worst enemy or poison so let it go! Otherwise it will kill you. If you want to succeed in anything in your life, it is essential to keep all three (mind, intellect, and ego) in your control, Self control is the main key to a great life.

Do feel free to me leave a comment on my first blog & let me know your favorite God or Inner Guru.
